Challenges in Wireless LAN security

Abstract
Wireless LAN security has received a lot of attention, mainly because of the cryptographic flaws found in the WEP protocol. The cryptography is, however, relatively easy to fix by replacing the algorithms. There are other, architectural, issues that seriously limit the usefulness of the wireless LAN security mechanisms. These problems have received much less attention even though they are much harder to solve. In this talk I will discuss some of the architectural challenges in securing wireless networks.
